Falco died 10 years ago...Johann "Hans” Hölzel was his real name. He was one of the most famous German (Austrian) songwriters.
He loved big gestures, creating scenes and the show. Up until today Falco is the only German speaking artist who had a number one hit in his mother-tounge in US-Charts ("Rock Me Amadeus", 1986).
"Jeanny" was forbidden on German radio and TV stations because it was about a guy who was stalking a woman.
People who knew him, said he was depressed. He was always looking for his second Identity. "If your success is growing quicker than your soul, you have got a problem. Believe me."
Without doubt, Falco was one of the most innovative German musicians, and a great artist.
He died in a car accident in the Dominican Republic, on the 6th of February 1998.
