"Dear all who still stick with us!

The fact that you care means the world to us and gives us a lot of power to continue the thing we are doing. Vanilla Ninja is really proud to have all of you as our fans. I think we have some of the most loyal fans on this planet and this is just cool!

At the moment Lenna is on tour with Dago, but we still have meetings regularly to discuss the Vanilla Ninja things, so don't worry - even if you are not able to read too many articles about Vanilla Ninja these days we are very concentrated on our future plans and constantly work on them. But it all takes time and this time around we take things really carefully.

Anyways - at the moment I am enjoying my summer, visit my vocal-coach and practice my guitar. Also I try to work on my car liscence, which means that I take carlessons. Hopefully this GALA STARS site will have more informationon it soon. We're working on this aswell.

I wish all of you the warmest and funnest summer possible!

SIMONA GOTOVAC

Rođena sam 10.6.1984 g. u Zagrebu. S devet godina odlazim živjeti u Sloveniju gdje završavam srednju trgovačku školu.

S 18 godina osvajam titulu Miss Hawaiian Tropic Slovenija 2002, a iste godine osvajam i titulu Miss bikini Slovenija. Već slijedeće godima postajem i Miss turizma Slovenije. Tada se vraćam u Hrvatsku, gdje osvajam titulu Kraljica Hrvatske te se nakon toga udajem.

Zbog trudnoće odustajem od svjetskog izbora za Kraljicu svijeta. Rodila sam kćerkicu Gabrijelu 03.04.2006 godine.

Četiri mjeseca nakon poroda vratila sam se u manekenske vode jača nego ikad.

Zajedno sa suprugom Antom Gotovcem, vlasnica sam Citroen koncesije Minimoto automobili d.o.o.

Članica sam modne agencije Suzy Models za koju mogu reći same pohvale. Suzi Josipović mi je puno pomogla i uz nju sam ostvarila uspješnu karijeru.

Isto tako želim se zahvaliti spa-wellness centru Coner Hotel Sheraton Zagreb te njihovim izuzetno ljubaznim i stručnim djelatnicima što brinu za moj lijep i njegovan izgled.

Loveparade 2008 @ Dortmund 19.07.2008

The Loveparade In Dortmund, the biggest party in the world, attracted 1.6 million visiters tot the Ruhr metropolis.

On July 19th 2008, the Loveparade celebrated in Dortmund on the federal highway directly to the Westfalenhallen under the motto "Highway To Love".

For the first time in history, the "Metropolis Highway", one the most heavily traveled roads in Germany, was completely blocked off for the event.

This was also the first time for the Loveparade, which has never taken place in such an unusual location before. The traditional final rally will be celebrated on the grounds in front of the Westfalenhallen.

The Loveparade started in really good weather, but rain didn't spoil the party.

The Loveparade has it's roots in the spirit of a changing Europe. In 1989, it was first celebrated 4 months before the demolition of the Berlin Wall. It was started by the fresh Berlin Underground under the initiative of Matthias Roeingh aka Dr. Motte. It was held as a political demonstration for peace and international understanding through music.

NATALIA AVELON

There just aren't enough movies this summer about groupies. Thank heavens for "Eight Miles High!", a film that details the real-life story of Uschi Obermaier, a gorgeous German model from the 1960s who seduced some of the most famous men of the era - including Mick Jagger and Keith Richards. Obermaier became the symbol for Germany's sexual revolution. We talked with the beautiful Natalia Avelon, the actress who plays Obermaier in the movie.

GALA: What attracted you to play the part of Uschi Obermaier in this film?

NATALIA: The biggest attraction was to play my first main part in a movie. I loved the script, the director and the rest of the cast, and it was really exciting to get involved in the wild 60s. I knew it would be the best time of my life! And of course it was!

GALA: What does her character mean to you personally?

NATALIA: I respect anybody who follows their goals and dreams. Someone like Uschi was and still is a beautiful and sexy woman with a great sense of humor. She had a colorful and exciting life. I would call her a "gourmet of life". She tasted all the best that life could offer. Just like me: I am a bon vivant, too. We have many things in common.

GALA: What do you think has made her story so iconic both to her generation and the next generation?

NATALIA: She was the prime example for the emancipation of women, but she wasn´t an aggressive feminist. She was the hot and beautiful German figurehead and pin-up of the sexual revolution going on in the 60s. Her slogan was: "I get what I want! And I want what I want! Aim high!" Pretty self-confident and modern. Last, but not least, she dated hot superstars like Jimi Hendrix, Mick Jagger, and Keith Richards. And lived the life of a Rock star like everybody wanted to. She worked with Helmut Newton, Richard Avedon, met icons like Antonioni and Ponti, traveled throughout the whole wide world, and life had no limits. For me, she is one of the best examples that dreams do come true.

GALA: How do you think the sexual revolution differed in Germany and America?

NATALIA: In both the USA and Germany, there were similar features: rebellious students fighting against the system and the prudish generation of their parents, the emancipation of women, miniskirts, the revolutionary birth control pill, legalized abortion, Flower-Power teens taking drugs and having sex all day long. The youth was, and is, the same all over the world. It is just the government that makes the differences between the countries. The only difference in sexual matters nowadays is the censorship in arts. In my opinion, Germany is a lot more tolerant and liberal about that topic. But of course it was America, and not Germany, who celebrated sex not being evil or a taboo by publishing Playboy, and that was already in the 50s! All my respect to Hugh Hefner!

GALA: What famous women today embody the sexual freedom that Uschi epresented?

NATALIA: Pam Anderson and Kate Moss for example. Both are one with their sexuality. You can exactly see that they love their bodies and that they are proud of what they have and who they are. Hot and clever girls running their business well, not forgetting to enjoy being a woman! That's sexy! Both seem like a modern-day Marilyn Monroe to me.

GALA: Čestitke Colonii! S činjenicom da je album "Pod sretnom zvijezdom" po meni jedan od produkcijski najboljih ostvarenja u ovom trenutku... kako ti gledaš na taj album?
BORIS: Prije svega hvala! Trudim se pohvatat glazbene trendove u svijetu što mislim da sam i uspio s ovim albumom.

GALA: Što radiš u svoje slobodno vrijeme, ako ga uopće imaš?
BORIS: Internet, DVD, kino i čačkanje po novim soundovima.

GALA: Kako ljudi reagiraju na nove pjesme?
BORIS: Za sada odlično. Svi hvale moje radikalne stilske promjene.

GALA: Što misliš o Dieteru Bohlenu kao osobi i kao producentu?

EUROBAND

The Euroband was established in march 2006 by the singers Friðrik Ómar and Regína Ósk, who both have contested in the finals of the icelandic Eurovision. They have had a succesful solo carrier and have released a couple of solo albums. Regína Ósk was the second runner up in the icelandic Eurovsion finals in 2006 with the song "ÞÉR VIÐ HLIÐ" ("By Your Side") and Friðrik Ómar in third place with the song "ÞAÐ SEM VERÐUR" ("Thinking Of You"). Friðrik also took part in Eurovison here in Iceland in 2007 and ended up in second place with the song "ELDUR" ("Fire"). The keyboard player of the Euroband, Grétar Örvarsson, is also well known to Eurovison fans. He sang along with Sigga Beinteins "EITT LAG ENN" ("One More Song") which ended up in forth place in Zagreb in 1990. He also composed the song "NEI EÐA JÁ" which got seventh place in Malmö, Sweden in 1992.

The rest of the band, Kristján Grétarsson, Róbert Þórhallsson and Einar V. Scheving are all one of the best instrument players of Iceland with a lot of experience. Together we make great band which only plays songs which have competed in the Euroviosin Song Contest from 1956 until today. Every year more and more songs are released in Eurovision all over Europe - so there is plenty to play! The band aims not only to play here in Iceland, but also across Europe in countries where Eurovision is popular.

Za ono što se preksinoć događalo na osječkom Srednjoškolskom igralištu Srednjika može se s pravom reći bio je to spektakl!

U sklopu svoje svjetske turneje "Good To Be Bad" nastupio je legendarni engleski Hard Rock sastav Whitesnake. Već su predgrupe Opća Opasnost i Divlje Jagode zagrijale oko 4.000 obožavatelja engleske Hard Rock atrakcije, među kojima je bilo i mnogo fanova iz BiH i Srbije.

"Jako mi je drago što sam mogao sudjelovati u ovako velikom događaju. Iako imam vlastiti band Cotu 64, povremeno nastupam i u Divljim Jagodama. Ovo mi je drugi koncert, koji smatram svojim velikim izazovom", bile su riječi mladoga daruvarskog vokala Marka Osmanovića, koji je uz Tonya Jankovića iz originalne postave publiku zapalio nezaboravnim stihovima pjesama "Motori" i "Kap po kap".

A ono što je slijedilo poslije, može se opisati epitetima fantastično, žestoko, izvrsno. Whitesnake, band koji je sredinom 80ih godina bio na vrhu popularnosti, izazvao je euforiju i sveopće oduševljenje mahom mlade publike, koja je znala sve stihove pjesama, primjerice, evergrina "Is This Love" i "Fool For Your Loving".

"Od 34 grada u sklopu svjetske turneje u kojima nastupaju Whitesnakeovci Osijek jedini nije glavni grad. Time se posebno ponosimo. Dečki iz banda vrlo su jednostavni i simpatični, inače fanovi hrvatske nogometne reprezentacije i izbornika Slavena Bilića. Na moj upit mogu li dečkima pokloniti dresove naše reprezentacije, manager Gideon je, naravno, odobrio.

Mogli smo vidjeti i kako je gitarist Doug Aldrich u drugome dijelu koncerta s ponosom nosio prepoznatljivu majicu s crveno-bijelim kockicama", sa zadovoljstvom je konstatirao Renato Lukić, direktor Gradskog radia, glavnog organizatora ovoga glazbenog događaja.

Whitesnakeovci su iskazali oduševljenje gostoprimstvom, odličnom hranom, gradskim ljepotama, a i prelijepim pogledom na Dravu. No, odmah nakon koncerta, već u 22:40 h, morali su krenuti put Njemačke.

Promocija spota "Pije mi se"

Indira Radić, preksinoć je na popularnom beogradskom splavu Blaywatch promovirala svoj novi singl u potpuno originalnom stilu. U dugačkoj zlatnoj haljini, pjevačica se u punom sjaju pojavila u pratnji golišavih djevojaka i muškaraca, koji na sebi nisu imali ništa osim kupaćih kostima i cvjetnih vjenčića oko vrata.

Od mnogobrojnih uzvanica među prvima je stigla Mina Kostić, zajedno sa svojom jačom polovicom, s kojom je tijekom večeri razmjenjivala nježne poljupce. Društvu se vrlo brzo pridružila i nasmijana Zorica Marković, Goca Tržan sa suprugom, Dejan Matić, Maja Nikolić, Goga Sekulić, Stevan Anđelković, Dara Bubamara, Marina Tucaković, Sanja Đorđević i drugi.

Cijeli događaj protekao je u veseloj atmosferi, uz mnoštvo klope i pića i, naravno, razgolićenih Go-Go plesačica

All the filth and fury of their Eighties heyday, finally funneled into an album Mötley Crüe have created a cottage industry out of rehashing their excesses: Their tales of debauchery have already fueled dozens of books and a standard-bearing episode of Behind The Music. Now they've woven those stories into their first album in eight years. The trip down memory lane helps the Crüe connect to their old sound: Much of Saints Rocks with the same raucous fun as their Eighties albums, delivering glam guitars and arena-size choruses on cuts like the wickedly catchy "Down At The Whisky". MATRIX FEATURING MICHAELA

Matrix ft. Michaela was founded in early 1998, when we started working on some demo songs. After a few months, our first single "Vodi me u mrak" entered the biggest Croatian music festival HRF and had a huge radioplay, so we signed a contract for Croatia Records, major label in Croatia. This resulted in publishing our first album "Moja krila" in late 1999. The singles from this album topped the charts in Croatia and Matrix ft. Michaela dominated the airplay during 1999 and 2000 thanks to the new Dance music sound we introduced to Croatian music scene. Immediately after the release of our first album, other Croatian Dance music artists started to copy the sound we introduced through our first two singles "Vodi me u mrak" and "Duri Duri".

After the success of the first album, we went to the studio with an intention to reinvent our sound, and we came up with the first single "Romeo & Julija", which topped the Croatian national charts for consecutive 8 weeks, and stayed on Top 20 for over 6 months! It was followed by the release of our second album, "Djeca noci" in 2001. The following singles all went straight to Croatian Top 5.

In late 2003 we released the third, selftitled album which brought Matrix ft. Michaela in a totally new sound, which we called Ultrapop. This album had two singles, after which we released our megamix and went to a 4 year vacation!

In the meantime, a compilation of our remixed singles was released through iTunes, Napster, Amazon, Rhapsody, Emusic, Music.com, GroupieTunes and other music download services.

Right now we are preparing the materials for our fourth album, which will be released digitaly through our own label Logo Music, and will be completely in English.
