Bio

Before Shanadoo:

Previously, Manami, Chika and Junko were involved in Vivace whom released a cover of "On My Own" Sooner covered by Hinoi Team also. Vivaces music was released in Germany and Japan however did not gain much popularity. It was not until the 3 girls signed up with German Producer 'David Brandes' who also produced Vanilla Ninja and Lemon Ice. Brandes also with the 3 girls (Chika, Junko and Manami) gave a contract to 17 years old Marina Genda. This group was named Shanadoo. 4 Girls from Japan releasing music sung in Japanese to a German Public? How would this turn out...

2006:

Shanadoo's first release - "King Kong" - was fairly popular but did not reach large enough audiences. The group would continue to release another dance track with the same melody of that of the same artist as "King Kong" and was named 'My Samurai'. Also, popularity started to fall. Very few people actually knew about Shanadoo, so everything was not going so well for the girls. However, it was in November when Shanadoo tried one more time for a hit of 'Guilty Of Love' and gained a small, but effective - success. Their slow song would touch listeners and would feel part of the vibe. With this success, Shanadoo were able to release their Debut Album - "Welcome to Tokyo". This album did so well, Shanadoo's producers decided to give Japan a try. Although it did not do as well as had planned, The girls from Shanadoo were extremely happy about being able to release music back at home. The Album was released in 2 Version in Germany, but it would not be until 2007 when the public would receive "Welcome to Tokyo - Limited Edition".

2007:

2007 would spark large success. Now with the early release of 'Hypnotized', Shanadoo were sailing smoothly. With common Radio hearings and Television Viewings of this new release, the Limited Edition of "Welcome To Tokyo" was released on High Demand. However, for a few months, Shanadoo became very quiet and was extremely secretive until early July, news was released that Shanadoo would finally be able to gain even more popularity by performing on live Television on RTL 2, performing on the music show "Ballermann Hits 2007" and performing their Never before heard song "Fly Me To Shanghai". This reached thousands of viewers and was good news for fans and the girls. Also, Later in July, it was released that Shanadoo would release 2 new singles and another album by the end of the year. The first of the 2 singles was finally leaked and has now been confirmed to be called 'Japanese Boy' which is a cover of Aneka's one hit wonder across the globe. The names or other details of the second album and second single are yet to be determined, but it should not be long.
