S.E.X. Appeal - Sex On The Phone (3H Records, 2009)

E-Rotic vs. S.E.X. Appeal! As mentioned on Eurodancehits, S.E.X. Appeal have done a fantastic new cover of the E-Rotic classic. The group features the vocal talents of Lyane Leigh, who was actually the original vocalist for E-Rotic, so she’s essentially covering herself. The Rap is a little different since David Brandes isn’t performing it, but Lyane’s what really matters anyway and she knocks it out of the park as usual.

Track Listing

01 Sex On The Phone (Radio Edit)
02 Sex On The Phone (Bootleggerz Radio Remix)
03 Sex On The Phone (D. Mand Radio Remix)
04 Sex On The Phone (Album Version)
05 Sex On The Phone (Bootleggerz Extended Remix)
06 Sex On The Phone (D. Mand Extended Remix)

The single will be available on Amazon, DJ Shop, and probably many other retailers.

MAYOR'S DESTINY

Mayor's Destiny are: Lena (lead vocals/guitars) from Flensbug, Bella (guitar/vocals) from London, and the two sisters Aimee (keyboards/vocals) and Alessia (bass/vocals) from Freiburg. Since our childhood, we have been playing our instruments, played in diverse bands and have performed on stage in various shows. Even though our individual musical backgrounds have varied, it soon crystallised that we had a lot of things in common and that we are all very enthusiastic about Rock music.

After a coincidental meeting, we decided we would like to play and make music together and this resulted in us forming Mayor's Destiny and now we can enjoy to Rock and perform together.

We hope, that when you listen to our debut single "Cross Your Heart", that you will feel that you would like to hear more from us and experience Mayor's Destiny live.

The "Cross Your Heart" video, was made in February under the Californian sun and we performed our song in the Joshua Tree National Park near Palm Springs amongst a spectacular wild west scenery.

The band's name Mayor's Destiny, well this is a subject open to debate... who was the Mayor and what was his destiny? But this question will have to remain unanswered for the time being. But our destiny has already been set... we will continue to play together and make good music!

GRACIA

About Gracia

Gracia Baur, a 24 years old talented German singer. Gracia started her ‘career’ in the 4th grade of school by founding her own band. She got her first vocal lessons when she was 14. Her singing teacher Victoria helps her up to now.

In the year 2000 Gracia took part in"Popstars", an international television talent show, but she got dismissed because she has forgotten the words of a song. After finishing the 12th grade of the grammar school she left her parents’ house to start an education as a management assistant in event organisation in the summer of 2002.

In the same year Gracia took part in "Deutschland sucht den Superstar", the German version of “Pop Idol”, and eventually reached 5.

Gracia moved to Cologne and on 14th July, 2003 she spawned her 1st single "I Don't Think So", that reached a Top3 placement on the German single charts. On 22nd September, 2003 the follow-up single "I Believe In Miracles" charted at number 15.

Pushed by the publicity she released her first album “Intoxicated” on 13th October, 2003 which peaked at 10 on the German album charts with more than 50.000 copies sold. Unfortunately this was not enough for the record label BMG so Gracia has been dropped.

Eight months later, Gracia teamed up with fellow DSDS runners-up Daniel Küblböck, Nektarios Bamiatzis and Stephanie Brauckmeyer, releasing the charity single "Don't Close Your Eyes" under the name 4 United.

In January 2005 Gracia released her new solo single "Run & Hide", produced and composed by David Brandes. The song reached 20 on the German charts. After winning the German national pre-selection for the Eurovision Song Contest with 52,8% it was revealed that Brandes had bought thousands of his own.

However, "Run & Hide", a modern Pop-Rock song with heavy use of synthesizers, failed to catch the audience's imagination in the Eurovision Song Contest and ignominiously placed last (24th), with just four points awarded from Monaco and Moldova.

But Gracia was not deterred. In October 2005 she released the new single "When The Last Tears Been Dried" and went on with her second solo album “Passion”, released in November 2005. The second single “Never Been” reached rank 39 on the German single chart.

In December 2006 Gracia released the Song "Cos I believe" together with Marvin Broadie under the name "Xantoo". Chartentry: 39!

SHANADOO

Bio

Before Shanadoo:

Previously, Manami, Chika and Junko were involved in Vivace whom released a cover of "On My Own" Sooner covered by Hinoi Team also. Vivaces music was released in Germany and Japan however did not gain much popularity. It was not until the 3 girls signed up with German Producer 'David Brandes' who also produced Vanilla Ninja and Lemon Ice. Brandes also with the 3 girls (Chika, Junko and Manami) gave a contract to 17 years old Marina Genda. This group was named Shanadoo. 4 Girls from Japan releasing music sung in Japanese to a German Public? How would this turn out...

2006:

Shanadoo's first release - "King Kong" - was fairly popular but did not reach large enough audiences. The group would continue to release another dance track with the same melody of that of the same artist as "King Kong" and was named 'My Samurai'. Also, popularity started to fall. Very few people actually knew about Shanadoo, so everything was not going so well for the girls. However, it was in November when Shanadoo tried one more time for a hit of 'Guilty Of Love' and gained a small, but effective - success. Their slow song would touch listeners and would feel part of the vibe. With this success, Shanadoo were able to release their Debut Album - "Welcome to Tokyo". This album did so well, Shanadoo's producers decided to give Japan a try. Although it did not do as well as had planned, The girls from Shanadoo were extremely happy about being able to release music back at home. The Album was released in 2 Version in Germany, but it would not be until 2007 when the public would receive "Welcome to Tokyo - Limited Edition".

2007:

2007 would spark large success. Now with the early release of 'Hypnotized', Shanadoo were sailing smoothly. With common Radio hearings and Television Viewings of this new release, the Limited Edition of "Welcome To Tokyo" was released on High Demand. However, for a few months, Shanadoo became very quiet and was extremely secretive until early July, news was released that Shanadoo would finally be able to gain even more popularity by performing on live Television on RTL 2, performing on the music show "Ballermann Hits 2007" and performing their Never before heard song "Fly Me To Shanghai". This reached thousands of viewers and was good news for fans and the girls. Also, Later in July, it was released that Shanadoo would release 2 new singles and another album by the end of the year. The first of the 2 singles was finally leaked and has now been confirmed to be called 'Japanese Boy' which is a cover of Aneka's one hit wonder across the globe. The names or other details of the second album and second single are yet to be determined, but it should not be long.

Influences

Majority of the songs are based off the original released tracks of E-Rotic, however, the lyric has been changed from English to Japanese. However, the songs titles have mostly been changed as well as the words. The music released by Shanadoo are commonly about Love and are very Japanese influenced, for example, take into consider the titles "It's Like An Anime", "My Samurai", "Ninja Tattoo" and "Japanese Boy". Their film clips are also commonly involving Japanese Influences. Their music has a Dance/Trance feel to them with the japanese instruments playing in the background!

N-EURO

We need revolution! So believes N-Euro, the superartist who began under the name of N-Euro in the year 1999 in the beautiful country of Estonia. This country should undoubtedly be visited by His every true fan.

Under revolution N-Euro doesn’t think war, no, He dreams of the victory of simple love and goodness over darkness and cynicism, envy and money-cult, stupidity and selfishness. It wouldn’t be that difficult if you only believed and faught a bit more, and just sang positively from heart to heart. There is no need for big words nor empty illustrated thoughts. You just need to be and love the world a bit more.

Where is the rush? Look in the mirror and around you, and you understand that nowhere. Take time for yourself and your close-ones, and be happy. There is no need for countries either that conquer and seed hatred for obscure reasons. A country is established with love not money.

There is no need to talk about democracy when it is ignored with every step taken. Maybe we should concentrate on beautiful thoughts again, let’s be honest and happy. This is exactly what N-Euro wishes to offer from stage, and to change the world with simple and clear music.

He is an artist who is able to make people think and also to laugh until you are out of strength.

N-Euro is always on stage with people who He loves and admires. He is without a doubt an artist who stays to offer good entertainment, you must see His shows and sing songs along with Him.

Come to his concerts with the same feeling as coming to see a good friend. And you must also find it in your heart to be part of the revolution that makes our dear world a better and more simple place.

It is a brand new day! Welcome N-Euro! Welcome to the revolution!
